Administration and Public Works
The Administration and Public Works Department is responsible for the Nation’s administrative, financial and infrastructure operations. The Administration provides operational and programmatic support to the organization. They also provide expert advice to members, Council and staff. The Finance sector manages the nations financial records, is responsible for taxation, ensures the government's operations are fiscally responsible and reports accurate financial results of government programming.
The Public Works sector oversees the operation and maintenance of community lands and infrastructure. The department is responsible for the care of TWN reserve lands, resources and environment. This includes the operation and maintenance of TWN buildings, grounds and infrastructure as well as the provision of safe affordable housing and facilities and other ongoing public works projects. The department undertakes projects such as road and facilities improvements, zoning and reserve land management. In addition to physical mainentance of infrastructure, the Public Works sector is responsible for by-law, policies and zoning.
